Dream Interpretation and History

Dream work according Sigmund FreudImage via Wikipedia
Dreams have fascinated people for thousands of years.

Ancient Egyptians analyzed their dreams, and believed that dreams held clues about how to heal a sick person. Dream analysis reached heights in popularity during the Victorian times, when dream experts of every kind analyzed dreams to diagnose work, relationship, health and many other problems.

Famed psychic Edgar Casey is said to have visited patients in his dreams and healed them, and Sigmund Freud saw dreams as a way a to cure mental illness.

Today there are as many different ideas about dreams as they are kinds of dreams.

Some people use their dreams to analyze their past, present, and future lives. Others see their dreams in terms of archetypes. Still others believe that their deceased loved ones communicate to them through dreams.
So what do dreams really mean? If you fall in a dream, does it mean you are going to die? Can a dream predict the future?

No one knows for sure, but many dreamers use dream journaling to develop their intuition and personal insight. Writing down dreams as soon as you wake can help you understand your life better.

Try it:

Each night for two weeks, avoid alcohol, caffeine and tobacco which can interfere with your sleep.
Every morning as soon as you wake, write down what you remember of the night before.
Your clear intuition will speak to you in a way you have never before experienced.

Mediumship in a nutshell

A female Mediumship (Thai Moa Fa Phi Song) in ...Image via Wikipedia
A Medium is a person with a special gift, who can connect with beings whose physical bodies have died.

Mediums communicate with spirits in different ways.

Some can see spirits, others hear, and some sense their presence and feelings.

Some spirits communicate through mediums in trances, when the spirit enters the medium’s body and speaks.

Others communicate through the medium while the medium is conscious, which is the most common type of mediumship.

We all have at least some ability to practice mediumship.

Have you ever felt the presence of a departed loved one, perhaps in a time of crisis? Or felt that presence during a joyous experience?

You are being a medium for that spirit.

By continuing your spiritual practice, you will become even more open to these experiences, and feel the connection between this life and the next.

Who's that looking over my shoulder?

"Kirche Gröben" (big church), Brande...Image via Wikipedia
We are all born with an innate spiritual sense of direction, a desire to grow toward the light

But as we get older, the daily responsibilities of work, family, and other obligations can blur that sense.

We need the help of an enlightened spiritual guide to help us move forwards in our spiritual and psychic growth.

A spiritual guide is an enlightened being that watches, teaches, and helps you in your psychic growth.

They have been known to appear as angels, aliens, light, even the cool breeze that kisses your skin at the beach.

These beings may communicate with you telepathically, or through archetypes and imagery.

Some people communicate with their guides in dreams or meditation.

With practice, you can learn to communicate with your guide in your own unique way.

Sounds difficult- Here's something you can do which is quick and simple:

*Right now, imagine your heart and spirit open to your guide.
*Invite your guide into your life and be open to the feelings of change.
*You know they are around  if you feel tingling around your body- feel the sense of calmness and also feel like the weight of the world has left you for that moment in time when you connected.

What are you waiting for?  Your guides are waiting to help.

Importance of Grounding your Energy

Tu Na - RespiraçãoImage via Wikipedia
How do you prepare for your day?

If you are like most of us, you wash, make the bed, feed the pets, and dress for work.

Another essential task you should add to your list is grounding your energy.

When you ground your energy, you connect yourself to the spirit of life that runs through all of us.

When we are not grounded we’re more likely to be absent minded. Do you often misplace your cell phone or keys? Procrastinate? Get frustrated? Then you are not grounded.

Grounding helps you with your tasks throughout the day because it focuses your mind. Grounding also invites the universal spiritual energy to flow freely through your heart and spirit, and will facilitate your spiritual growth...

Fortunately, it’s easy to add a simple exercise to your daily routine to ground yourself. Tomorrow morning, try the following exercise. If you find yourself becoming forgetful or frustrated throughout the day, repeat the exercise.

  • Sit in a comfortable chair in a quiet place and close your eyes.
  • If that isn’t possible, imagine that you are in a peaceful, beautiful place, perhaps a forest or on a sandy beach.
  • Next, imagine a warm shaft of golden love moving from the sky into the top of your head.
  • The light fills your mind. Imagine the light moving downwards through your body, with as much detail as possible.
  • The light fills your throat, your chest, moves down your arms.
  • The light continues through each of your chakras, filling your body down to your feet.
  • The light moves through your body, deep into the earth, connecting with water and rich earth.
  • Sit with these thoughts for a few minutes.
  • Open your eyes, knowing that you are connected to spirit and earth.

This exercise will bring your energy, thoughts, and feelings into balance and harmony. You’ll be refreshed, and see an immediate improvement in your day.

Importance of Gratitude

Statue of Confucius on Chongming Island in Sha...Image via Wikipedia
Weeds.
Electric bills.
Dirty laundry.
Kids needing help with their math.
So many daily obligations.
It’s easy to forget about gratitude in our daily routine.

But what really is gratitude? Is it something that we use to make a list of our blessings, or something we feel when we go on vacation?

It isn’t always easy to remember gratitude, but it is possible, and essential. Those weeds? They are a blessing, if you have weeds, then you have a garden. You can help life grow. Electric bills? You have a home with light, and heat. Dirty laundry? You have clothes to wear. Kids? The blessing of having a family.

Gratitude is a matter of perspective. How you view your daily life is a wonderful way to develop contentment and happiness. I’ve worked to develop gratitude as a habit.

At night when I review my day, I try to go to sleep with gratitude when I recall my day. Embracing gratitude as a habit has helped me keep my life in perspective.

The more you focus on the good in your life and consciously feel gratitude for life, the more you will see that you are a positive force in your own life and in your loved one’s lives. This habit has made me a stronger, happier, human being.

Next week, make a dairy every night. List the events of the day, and what you can feel gratitude for in every one. By the end of the week, you will notice that you feel less stress. You’ll feel stronger, and those annoying problems? Less annoying.

Give it a try.
