Heavens Above! Angels and their Angelic Hierarchy

It is interesting to note in times of need majority of people will call upon an Angel for guidance. But who are they? What is their purpose?

Angels are creatures build on good; they are essentially messengers for a higher being sent to us in times of need. They are used as a channel for messages given to us by a higher power which guide us in making life changing decisions.

Angels are not there to give us answers or make up our minds- they are helpers when we ask for some sort or truth and guidance.  As humans we freely make our decisions and are solely responsible for our path.

Angels are often mistaken to be one and the same as “a guide” but in all honesty, they are different entities all together. The main difference being one is sent to us and the other has been there within the family line all along.

I suppose the reason for this mistake is that Angels can sometimes take the form of any physical thing; the most common being that of a human form (with wings) in order to get their message across with the use of familiarity.

The most commonly called upon Angels are the Archangels- Michael, Uriel, Gabriel, Raphael. This is because they are universally known to everyone though various traditional stories which have been passed down to us or through hearing of an experience from another.

The Archangels are not the only type of Angels out there, Spiritualist Ruth White has documented a hierarchy in which Angels work on- in brief here they are as follows:

There are three main angelic realms and within these are three other subdivisions.

Heavenly Counsellors are said to be closest to divine energy.

The first subdivision is Seraphim: Seraphim Angels are the most highly evolved angels working to keep balance within the earth, stars and planets.

The second subdivision is Cherubim: Cherubim angels are the guardians of all light and colour energy in the universe.

The last subdivision in the Heavenly Counsellors are called Thrones: Throne Angels oversees individual planets and balance and modify each so that they prevent major catastrophic disasters happening at once such as flooding, volcanic eruption and droughts.

The next Angelic Realm is that of the Heavenly Governors’.

The first subdivision is called the Dominions: Dominion angels are the councillors, supports and teachers of all evolved Angels.

The second subdivision is Virtues. Virtue Angels are listeners who are responsible for responding to prayers and requests for healing.

The last subdivision in the Heavenly Governors’ Angelic Realm is the Powers. Power Angels watch over the natural cycle- they govern birth, death and rebirth (often referred to as Akashi Records of our lives)

The last Angelic Realm is called the Messengers.

The first subdivision is the Principalities: Angels within this subdivision are the overseers of large groups, nations and cities.

The second are the Archangels: The most commonly known subdivision, Archangels help us to work within our human endeavour to interpret the divine principles within us. As I mentioned Michael, Raphael, Uriel and Gabriel assists us in gaining greater clarity in our life.

Lastly the final subdivision is Angels without titles: This is where our Guardian Angels lie. Each time our soul embarks on a journey (such as birth or death) our Guardian Angels are there to guide and protect us.
